John Walker is a Marvel Comics character who briefly assumed the mantle of Captain America. He was introduced as Super-Patriot, a hero embodying American ideals in a more aggressive and jingoistic manner than Steve Rogers.
Walker was selected by the U.S. government to replace Rogers as Captain America after Rogers resigned due to disagreements with the government's oversight. He underwent a process similar to the Super-Soldier Serum, but with modified and less stable results.
